JHU V-LINC Team wins first place at Design Competition

Student VME volunteers from Johns Hopkins University recently won first place at the JHU Mechanical Engineering Department’s annual Senior Design Day for their project for 18-year-old Christine Shultz. Over the course of the school year, the team of Tristan Arbus, Diana Sandy and Adam Sierakowski built a mechanical arm that allows Christine to access her backpack while in her wheelchair with the push of a button. The project was featured in The JHU Gazette and The Annapolis Capital.

Watch Christine use the arm for the first time.
