The 2012 Mary Salkever Inclusive Computer Arts and Technology Summer Camp is open to EVERYONE 7-14 years old! Since 1991 we have been providing a truely inclusive summer camp experience focusing on activities, experiences, friendships and technology accessible to all.
All children ages 7-14 are encouraged to apply, the summer camp experience is equally fun and beneficial to children with and without disabilities and is strutured in a manner that all participate and learn equally throughout the week.
All Camp activities are fully inclusive and include daily field trips to local attrations such as the National Aquarium, Sailing at the Downtown Sailing Center, Science Center; along with guest speakers such as magicians, animal and reptile exhibits, musical guests etc...
Each camper has their own dedicated workstation that is configured to meet their individual needs where they will learn to use digital technology such as the internet and specialized computer programs along wtih video/still digital cameras and art-based activities.
As a parent you can rest assured that your child(ren) are in excellent hands as all of our staff and counselors are selectively screened teachers, support staff (Physical and Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Pathologists, Behavior Specialists) or persons with specialized and/or significant experience working with people with disabilities, all who have passed a thorough background check.
Many of our campers, counselors and junior counselors have been with us for years.
Session Dates:
Session 1: June 25 - 29 from 9-3pm
Session 2: July 30 - August 3 from 9-3pm
Camp Fee's:
Children with Disabilities: $175 + $100 V-LINC Membership (1yr.) which covers the mandatory pre-camp consult.
Chilren without Disabilities: $200. No pre-camp Consult Required.
If you are unable to pay the camp fee's in full or part, please contact our camp director for options as some scholarships are avaliable.
