HomeVolunteerProjects Needing Volunteers

Justin is a young man with tremors in his hand, which make it difficult for him to scoop his food. Several staff members at his school have tried multiple spoons on the market, but none have worked. Now, Justin has most of his meals mixed with mashed potatoes because it provides something the food can stick to. He is requesting an adaptive spoon with ridges so less food will fall off.

Stephanie has a Dynavox communication system, but she is unable to use it outside of her home as she needs a physical support for the trackball. Her occupational therapist suggested using a lap tray, but none of the commercial ones work. Stephanie wants a tray that is attached to the chair that can be swung out of the way when not in use.
